Exam structure

Candidates perform published or devised pieces of their own choice. In solo and pair exams, this is then followed by a discussion with the examiner on the pieces performed to test the candidate’s knowledge and understanding. The examiner writes a report on the extent to which the candidate has met the learning outcomes of the qualification and awards marks in line with published assessment criteria and attainment descriptors.

Recognition and UCAS Points

Trinity College London is an international exam board regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) in England. CCEA Regulation in Northern Ireland and by Qualifications Wales.  Various arrangements are in place with governmental education authorities worldwide.

All solo and pair graded qualifications are on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and a full set of the regulated titles and numbers for the solo and pair qualifications can be found here.
